Thank you for supporting Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Charlotte, including St. Matthew Catholic School. The Wildcat Annual Fund allows our school to continue to provide students with innovative academics, virtue, and service-learning opportunities.
Each year, all funds raised are spent during the current school year. Every gift, whether large or small, directly impacts each student’s educational experience and enables us to pursue excellence and educate our students for a life based on Catholic values and academic success.
The Wildcat Annual Fund is a compelling way for our community to show their commitment to the mission of St. Matthew Catholic School; to provide an atmosphere of faith and love where Jesus is alive and where students can develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

Why is the Annual Fund Necessary?
St. Matthew Catholic School needs your support! Tuition alone cannot cover all the goals that St. Matthew hopes to achieve. Our intent is to be a school that provides an affordable Catholic education for those who want it. The Wildcat Annual Fund campaign broadens St. Matthew’s base of support. As it broadens, it strengthens and ensures the future of the school and gives the best opportunity for all those who love St. Matthew to stand up and be counted. Your gift is proclaiming to all that you support the mission and vision of St. Matthew Catholic School.
Priorities:
Professional Development
Encouraging our teachers to seek out quality professional development opportunities, requiring additional funds for national-level conferences.
Technology
Funding for life-cycling our technology tools, including our classroom sets of iPads and Windows Surface tablets.
Catholicity
Support for family materials to help educate the children about their faith, such as focusing on social justice and being Jesus to others.

An endowment is a permanent fund, the principal of which is never touched. The principal, as defined, includes the initial contribution given to establish the endowment and the additional gifts to the endowment.
Only the investment earnings from an endowment fund are used. In specific terms, an endowment fund provides a permanent and secure source of income, which can ensure the future of St. Matthew Catholic School. Strong endowments are an essential component of a thriving Catholic school and allow our school to meet the needs of increasing costs and keep tuition affordable for all families seeking an exceptional Catholic education rooted in our mission.
7% of the Wildcat Annual Fund funds go towards the St. Matthew Catholic School Endowment Fund, managed by investment professionals at the Diocese of Charlotte Foundation.
